We will be working to a set design on a small block (you can choose one design from the four pictured) so no drawing skills are required! You will leave with some basic knowledge of carving and printing, and up to 4 black and white prints of your chosen design to frame and gift to friends and family. You can choose a template to work from from the four dried foliage designs I have created: Stitchwort (easiest), Bunny Tails (medium), Honesty (medium), Poppy heads (trickiest!). If you’d rather bring your own design then you are welcome, but it must be exactly 8cm x 8cm and pre-drawn, ready to be transferred onto the Lino.
We will start the morning learning about Lino Printing tools, and I will give you the confidence to carve into your lino by demonstrating carving techniques and practicing on small test blocks altogether. We will then move on to choosing one of the four designs, transferring it to your block, and spend a relaxing hour carving into your Lino, using professional tools, all guided by me. For the final hour, we will get the inks, rollers and my trusty Woodzilla Press out to bring your wonderful carves to life!
Tea, Coffee and biscuits are provided, as are all materials and tools.

My workshops are non refundable, however if I am able to fill your space then I will do my best to refund where possible.
